Wow.
"This the tragic sight of a member of the largest species ever to have existed"
I'm feeling mighty nitpicky today:
It's the largest species of mammal(at least I think so), not the largest species, stam.
It's a sad story, and a beautiful animal. It's body looks like an aerial shot of the Earth, showing land, sea, and clouds.
It's not just the largest species of mamma; it's the largest species of any animal. But my original wording was wrong - there are larger trees and fungus.
So its even bigger than, lets say, a brontasaurus?
Absolutely. Not longer, but heavier.
Wow.
At first I was thinking "coral" (not to mention fungus and trees) but I realize that doesn't count.
